Commissioning a piece of furniture should feel as considered as the piece itself. From the first conversation to final placement, each step is designed to make the process clear, personal, and intentional.

Inquire
Tell us about the piece you have in mind, the space it will inhabit, and what you need it to do.

Conversation
We’ll talk through your ideas, your space, timing, and anticipated investment to determine whether the commission is the right fit.

Design
Once the direction is clear, we develop the proportions, materials, details, and construction that will give the piece its form.

Commit
Once the design and investment are approved, your commission is secured and the piece moves into the studio schedule.

Material
The right boards are selected for the piece, considering grain, color, character, and how each board will contribute to the finished form.

Make
Your piece is built one at a time, with each component shaped, joined, and refined by hand in the Hand & Form studio.

Finish
The final surface is carefully prepared and finished to protect the wood while preserving its natural color, texture, and character.

Deliver
The finished piece is prepared for where it belongs, with delivery coordinated throughout North Texas and beyond.

Remain
The commission ends with a finished piece, but the intention is that its story is only beginning. Made to be lived with, used, and carried forward.
